Shooby Doob Shloimy says howdy to Dallas
Dynamic South African cantor, Mark Samowitz, otherwise known as Shooby Doob Shloimy, returned to Dallas Jan. 15 to share his unbelievable show.
Children from the community rehearsed for a week and performed with Shooby Doob Shloimy to a sold-out house at Chabad of Dallas. The Shooby Doob Shloimy character kindles that Jewish spark in every Jewish soul and shows childern (and adults) that being Jewish is exciting and vibrant.
Participating in the show were: Danielle Berman, Danny Bernhardt, Jonah Brustein, Hannah Buskin, Ronit Paola Dickter, Shterna Dubrawsky, Manya Dubrawsky Mordechai Dubrawsky, Ethan Ross Goldberg, Frieda Katz, Alyse Rosenblatt,Julia ROsenblatt, Eline Rosenthal, Benjamin Rosenthal, Ariel Rozemberg, Heath Ruchman, Sam Schultz, Gabriella Schultz, Emil Shlesinger, Aden Shmuel. Moriah Shmuel, Raut Shmuel, Brandon Silansky, Spencer Silansky, Alexa Van Creveld, Erin Van Creveld, and Ariella Vinokur. Jodi Alexander, Marla Buskin, Sharon Cane, Joel Cane, and Dainela Peiser made up the steering committee for the event.
